Home Bar Buying Guide

Browse our large selection of home bars - all with Free Shipping!

A home bar is a wonderful addition to any den or living room, and perfect for entertaining. But they are, admittedly, a BIG purchase. Don't Worry! Our guide will help to answer any questions you might have about buying a bar for your house.

Almost all of our home bars are made from solid hardwood with beautiful wood veneers. The bar furniture we carry is high quality, but it will break if used improperly. Home bars are available in a vast assortment of sizes, shapes, and styles, and you're guaranteed to find one that matches your decor. Home bars come in a variety of sizes (some are nearly 5 feet in length). Some styles of home bars feature an additional optional side bar that can be attached to the main bar. The side bar will increase your seating area and storage capacity.

If you don't have a lot of space to devote to a full-sized bar, then a wine bar may be just what you need. A beautiful wine bar is the perfect way to entertain guests at home. A wine bar is a collapsible version version of a traditional bar. You can simply flip up the top, swing out the sides, to pour drinks from your full-sized bar. The spacious cabinet holds liquor or wine bottles, and the drawer space holds glasses and other barware. After the party, the wine bar collapses down into a convienently sized liquor cabinet.

All the bar furniture we carry is high quality, but it will break if used improperly; the brass rails along the base of our bars are made for resting your feet on, not stepping up onto your seat. The manufacturer will not replace a rail damaged in this way.

Things to Consider When Buying A Home Bar

There are many options to choose from when selecting a home bar. First, you should taken into consideration how much space you have avialable for the bar. If you are setting up a bar in a finished basement, for example, you will certainly have more room than if you were adding a small bar to one corner of a den or family room.

Some bars have a brass footrest. This footrest is designed to rest your foot on when standing or sitting at the bar. The brass rails along the base of our bars are not made for not stepping up onto your seat.

Granite topped bars are easy to clean and are very durable. Some bars have a locking liquor cabinet.

All bars have wine racks and ample storage space to hold all your bottles and barware. Storage cabinets and adjustable shevles are also available. Depending on the size, wine racks hold 12, or 15 bottles. Rows of stemware holders can hold your wine glasses.

Some bars have garnish trays and a dry sink.

The side bar option on our large bars are not suitable for homes with small children. The side bars don't fully attach to the main bar, and can tip over if pulled on - say by a child pulling up on the edge.

A swing open bar is a good option for someone who does not have a lot of floor space. This collapsible bar transforms from a 25" liquor cabinet into a full-sized home bar.
